Artistic is a wide ranging genre. It's not for the faint of heart. Artistic can be shot in studio, or on location. It often includes some measure of nudity, but very often the shots are entirely anonymous for the model. Much of artistic modeling is shot in silhouette, light/shadow studies of the body or body form shots as you see below. Often, these shots don't reveal the model's face or identity. Artistic is very expressive and creative, and these are the shots photographers are most likely to enter in photo salons (competitions). To win a salon can be very important to the career of the model and the photographer.
