Serena Tremayne, the Pro
The most senior, in age, 72, experience, and longevity in the GMS, one of the founding models of the group, Serena joined in 2011.
Serena began modeling in the the San Francisco Bay Area. Her father, an accomplished professional photographer, promoted Serena when she was a pre-teen.
In her youth, Serena was the Berkley Farms Girl. Representing one of the leading dairies in the Bay Area, she was on milk cartons before it was cool.
Serena models in just about every genre, but loves most, artistic shoots. She’s also a natural wonder. at 72, she’s had no enhancing surgeries or procedures. What you see, is the real deal, Serena Tremayne.
Shawna Torrey, the Champ
At 5’9”, with magnetic eyes and jet black locks to her waist, there’s more than enough of Shawna Torrey to satisfy any eye.
She’s one of the original original GMS models, a member since 2011. She’s managed day to day operations at a busy commercial landscape company for 30 years, but her passion is sports, especially the NBA, and specifically the L.A. Lakers. But her passion doesn’t end at her floor seats at the Staples Center.
She a fixture at the NBA’s D League in Las Vegas each summer. Shawna has a keen eye for basketball talent, and for years has worked with a sports agent identifying, and even participating inthe development of some prospective NBA players.
She's the ultimate fan. But Shawna's not only a fan, she has fans of her own.
Ms Darling K, the Communicator
Another of the founding models of the GMS, Ms Darling K is multi-faceted for sure. With a career working in the medical field now in her wake, she’s spread her wings, first taking on the challenge of modeling, beginning in her late 40s, and despite her diminutive 5’3” frame.
If anyone tries to tell you theres no such thing as a 5’3”, model in her 50s, refer them to Ms Darling K.
And Darling’s had her own radio show for over five years, discussing the music scene in southern California, social and criminal justice issues, and of course, fashion.
Alexis Sater, the Comeback Kid
So what’s a woman to do when her marriage of over 20 years is suddenly gone, and she’s in her 40s? Simple, she goes back to school to study law, and then, if that’s not challenging enough, she takes up modeling.
Never having modeled before, and managing three children as a single parent, and her law studies, she joined the GMS in 2012 just to see.
Nine years later, she’s relocated to Texas, but Alexis can’t seem to leave the GMS behind.
With crystal blue eyes, a perfect size two frame, and the nerve of a riverboat gambler, she’s treasured by every photographer she’s worked with because she never passes on a creative challenge.
Scarlett Fox, The Chief
There’s a perception among some, that models aren’t very smart, that they model because they have few talents or alternatives. Wanna bet?
Scarlett Fox came to the GMS in 2013, from the unlikeliest of places. She was the CEO of a technology company in southern California, tasked with bringing a troubled company back to life.
If that wasn’t challenge enough, she took on modeling, something she had never done, or even imagined in her high stakes existence.
But she was a natural from her very first photo session. Her classic features, aqua blue eyes, and easy manner before the camera are her trademarks.
And the company she was to rescue? Its value increased exponentially under her leadership.
Ms Solid Gold, The Warrior
For nearly the first two years of her modeling career, Mz Solid Gold would not allow her photos to be published anywhere. It turns out she was completing a 24 year career in the United States Navy. And "Gold", as she's most commomly known, thought the Navy brass might not have considered lingerie model to be a proper entry on the resume of an active duty Master Chief, and veteran of two wars.
Gold finally traded her "utilities" for bikinis and bling, and photographers and fans alike thank her daily, for her service, and for her change of careers.
And Gold's not just a warrior at sea. She's beaten cancer twice, and now runs her own cancer awareness foundation.
Angelina Duran, the Artist
Unquestionably models are artists. They can convey a thought, tell a story, or sell the clothes off their back in the blink of a camera's shutter, and that takes creativity to be sure.
But this model finds creativity in almost everything she does. She paints, sculps, and creates nearly art nearly every day. She's prolific, and though brief in physical stature, at just 5'2", she's a monster in front of the camera. Her photos create a stir far beyond her diminutive size.
She brings her physical attributes and a dose of that creativity to the set, and the results are amazing. And this single Mom shares her artistic gifts, her enthusiasm for art and learning, and her creativity with her children.
Aria Taylor, The Snowbird
Winters in the upper midwest can be brutal. So those who can, often escape the blinding snow and frozen lakes of Minnesota, to "winter" on the deserts of the great southwest. They're called "snowbirds".
A founding model of the new GMS/AZ (for Arizona), Aria Taylor found Arizona as a snowbird, and now calls the desert home.
But she didnt just change her address when ahe retired after decades working in state government, she changed her career, or at least her avocation. In her 60's, Aria engaged her inner model gene, and she is impressing photographers and fans with her incredible figure and beautiful features.
She's been modeling for only about six months, and it looks like the sky's the limit for this snowbird turned desert fox.
